configuring outlook

I cannot get outlook to configure. It stops responding
when I try. I have to use safe mode to access outlook and
my email. HELP

Can you be a bit more precise? What and where are you
trying to configure? Also which version of Outlook are yu
using?

Have you installed ServicePack 2 as well? You might also
want to update your OS to the latest ServicePack/hotfixes
just to make sure.
