Configuring SMTP

Hi all,

I have MSN DSL and I need to connect to a third party POP3
and SMTP server, when I configure the email account in
outlook to do that, the POP3 part of it works but the SMTP
fails, I get this error: Unknown error 0x800ccc69 . I
looked it up and it means can't find mailbox, I trid the
same settings with a different ISP and it works, what
seems to be the problem?

1) Are you authenticating with the SMTP?
2) Can you send if you use the msn SMTP server? MSN, like many ISPs, may
block the use of 3rd party SMTP servers when connected to their network.
