Confused

I may well be in the wrong Microsoft group, but, perhaps someone can help?

In my "regular" Newsgroups.bellsouth.net, I am able to read messages but not
reply or initiate, my ISP tried to help, but finally said "contact
Microsoft"

Won't go any further with with details unless some says I'm at the right
place, or perhaps direct me elsewhere.

Thanks

I have no idea of what your problem is, but if it is a bellsouth
newsgroup problem, why not set up another newsgroup account?
msnews.microsoft.com
Port 119
There is no password and you will have direct access to all of the
public microsoft newsgroups.

See if you can post as well as read now.

This isn't actually the right place - the "access" in this group's name refers
to the database program Microsoft Access, not "access to the internet".

I see from your headers that you're using Windows Mail. You might try asking
in a Windows Mail newsgroup to see if there's some configuration of Mail
that's causing the issue (though I *really* suspect it's indeed a problem at
Bellsouth). Try

http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/co...&cr=US&r=beade823-9d14-4ad1-bde4-d4dd8dadff28

(sorry about the long link, you may need to fix it if it wraps to two
lines)...
