Hi,

I have mutiple users who need to be connected to Access 2003 DB without
having the application installed on their local machines. How do i do this, i
have made an access form, but it wouldnt work if the local machine doesnot
have Access installed?

Please suggest a simple solution!

Can't be done without using some kind of runtime or retail version of
Access.

Thank you for the response, Tony.

I was told by someone that there is something available, in terms of a .exe
program (VB code) or may HTML which can talk to the Database?

Would you know of anything like that or you are sure there's nothing.

This is a two part question.
The answer to the basic question "can I at connect to an Access DB without
installing Access" is yes. If you have some other appliction that can use an
ODBC connection, you can use the data. You can use MSQuery to connect to an
Access database within Excel, Word, and other MS Office products. A Visual
Basic application can connect to an Access database.

But, if you have forms or other objects in an mdb file, then Tony is
correct. You do need some version of Access to be able to use those objects.

Not for 2003. You have to purchase the Developers Extensions for 2003.
2007 is free.
