Connect to Login dialog

We are running a single test machine right now and have
an unusaual problem. I can login into PWA no problem as
several test users. But when I navigate around the site I
get a Connect to Login dialog and I have to enter login
details before the page will load. Sometimes I can
navigate quite happily for several pages and then up it
pops and other times it will ask straight away again. I
have had a pretty good look at IIS, IE, he web services
running and the hosts files but with no joy.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

While you are logged in as those users, ...

What are their "roles" in STS..?
What specifically are you clicking on when you get the prompt?

Sorry about the other post.

If you can log into PWS and you are getting prompt at certain
locations...the OWS group has not been created for the user account that you
are using.

Go to Sharepoint and look at the "Manage Users" section. Chances are only
the accounts that have local admin privileges to the IIS box are the only
accounts that do not have a problem.

Try this:
Click on ADD USER....put the account in that is having a problem and make
them a "browser"....

If this fixes the problem...the STSAdmin account is not doing its job.

1- Check all service accounts to see if they are OK.
2-Run PSCOMPlus > PROXYCFG > synchronize administrators...

That should do it.
