Connecting corners in a table cell

How can I draw a diagonal line that connects opposite corners in a table cell
in Word?

If I understand, go to the View>Toolbars menu & select the Tables & Borders
Toolbar. Click in thte table cell then click the arrow (right edge) of the
second button from right in the top row of the toolbar. Pick the ascending
or descending diagonal border of your choice.
