Hi,
I am hopping this is the right place for Project 2003, if
not this may be the same for Project 2002.
Can some one tell me in plain English how I can connect
MS Project to Ms Project Server?
When I am In Project Server 2003 and I am at "Manage
Administrative Projects" and I try to Add Project I get
this error message.
"Microsoft Project 2003 Professional or "Microsoft Project
2002 Professional is required for this action. If you are
already using either of these versions, verify that a
current account for this Project Server has been set up
and is currently the selected account by pointing to
Enterprise Options(tools Menu) and then clicking Microsoft
Office Project Server Accounts. If you are unable to start
Project with the current account, contact your server
administrator to make sure that the enterprise features
have been enabled on the project server."

I have Project 2003 installed.
Project Server 2003 is installed.
Project Server web access is installed and working.
The enterprise features are enabled in Project Server.

Where is the "Enterprise Options(tools Menu)"?
Can some one walk me through this?
Thanks,
-CW

Hi CW,

Welcome to the Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

You need to purchase Project 2003 Professional - the enterprise version.
Project 2003 Standard (the stand alone version) will not connect with
Project Server 2003.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on:)

Yes! Darn I did not think to look at it. Yes it is the standard version. I
called IT to get the Professional version.
Thanks again
