Why all of a sudden would a user be prompted over and over for their credentials for accessing PWA?

Server Environment is Project server 2003/Windows Server 2003/Sql Srvr 2000. Client is using Windows 2000 sp4 and/or Wind XP
service pack 1, plus Project Professional 2003

please help

Have you tried to use the "Log on using your Microsoft
Windows user account" link on the left side of your logon
page?

The User is able to log in but at the same time keeps getting prompted for username password. I checked the security settings on
the IE browser and the login settings are correct. This is bad because the only fix is to redo the profile on the computer, which
should not be needed to resolve this issue.

Richie:

What version of Office are you running? What was the user doing in the
system immediately before the problem showed up?

Using Office 2003 and Project 2003, and the backward compatability Sharepoint add-in for our Sharepoint Portal server 2001
implementation.

And the answer to the second question is?

He could never access it without the login issue as he is new to the project application. If he logs onto another laptop he is
fine, so there is something in his profile that is causing this. I would prefer not to rebuild his profile, but I have had this
with others and the only fix I see is to redo the profile, then all works fine

If it was characteristic of the profile to begin with, it's a Windows issue
or unknown cause issue. If you isolate repeatable steps in Project or
Project Web Access that cause profile corruption, we certainly want to know
what they are.

He has no issue logging in to OWA , Sharepoint, or anything else that would pass the Win Logon, only PWA.
