Connecting with DSL

Outlook will not connect through DSL... Have checked
server names, etc. Is there something special that must
be done inorder to use this?

The ISP says that the settings should be set to use LAN.

Nothing special. Outlook can use any internet connection to poll for mail
when configured correctly. The instructions for how to connect to your mail
server via DSL are the responsibility of your provider. If you need help
troubleshooting, you would need to provide those instructions, what you
tried, what isn't working and your Outlook version.
