Connection failed on Windows XP SP2

I have Project Professional 2003 installed on Windows XP SP2. I have
installed SP2 very recently. Earlier I had SP1 and was able to open projects
on server. (I have Project Server 2003 also) but ever since I have installed
SP2 I have been getting the following Connection Time Out error
HOWEVER WHEN I TRY DOING THE SAME THING FROM WINDOWS 2000 PROFESSIONAL
MACHINE IT WORKS FINE!!!!
Following is the exact message:

Connection Failed:
SQLState:
SQL Server Error:
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Timeout expired.

I have done the following:

1) Tried to increase the Connection Time out on the server.
2) Added winproj.exe in the exceptions of Firewall.
3) I also tried disabling the firewall
4) When nothing worked I have reformatted my machine and installed
everything fresh.

Is anyone facing the same problem? and has a solution?

I've started experiencing the same time after installing SP2. Do you continue
to have the problem or have you found a solution.
Any help would be appreciated.
