Connection points on 1d shapes

I have made some shapes and converted them to 1d. The connection points
have defaulted to halfway up the vertical sides. I would much prefer
the connection points to be halfway along the horizontal sides - is
there any way to do this?

Depending on the complexity of your shape you may have to recreate the shape.
try this, select the 1 -D shape and choose the line tool, then position each
line vertex point where you require, repositioning of the lines within the
shape will not affect the start and end points of the 1-d shape, hopefully
you can recreate the orientation you require.
