We are getting ready to install Project Server 2003 in development and
I am concerned about some of the architecture changes between 2002 and
2003.
We will have an mixed environment, with people on the active directory
in the internal network, people on the active directory who are
outside the firewall, but use a VPN solution to get to the server and
people who are not on active directory (consultants and contractors)
who use a VPN solution to get to the server.
With 2002, we used a mixed environment, and people outside the
firewall generally logged in via Project Server authentication.
People inside the firewall and on active directory logged in via
Windows Authentication. We discovered that only people who logged in
via Windows Authentication could successfly log into Project Server.
The rest of the resources were pretty much restricted to Project Web
Access.
With 2003, I understand that if you want to use Windows SharePoint
Services, you can only use Windows Authentication and of course, we
want to use it.
Does anyone have a good solution for this issue?
Thanks In Advance.
