When configuring a connection to a sql 2005 server via the Data Connection
Wizard, there's no problem using Windows Authentication. But to use an
account other than what i'm logged in as, namely a domain service account
that i hope to store with the excel report, never flies. Choosing "Use the
following User Name and Password" option doesn't even work for the account
i'm logged in with, nor the service account. However, both can be used on the
database server to log in via sql manager. Listening via TCP/IP on the sql
server has been enabled. What else do i need to use in Excel, or in SQL
Server, to make the Excel connection successful 'using the following user
name and password'?
