connector jumps

is there any way to make connectors jump shapes the same way the form jumps
when they cross each other.

any help would be appreciated thank you.

have a look at menu
File -> Page Setup
tab Layout and Routing
and have a look at the Line Jumps section.

i still do not see a setting which results in connectors jumping shapes.
further detail would be appreciated, thanks.

I think Paul mis-understood your question.
Connectors cannot jump shapes, but they can route around them.
Firstly, the connector has to be the routable type, and, secondly, the shape
has to have its placement behavior, Lay out and route around.

You are quite right, David. I was so fixated on the line jump aspect.
So, select the shape(s),
menu Format -> Behavior -> Placement
and select "Layout and route around"
