connector splitting help

Hi there,

I am using Visio for creating a database model diagram. I am using
Visio 2007 professional Edition.
I am relatively new to Visio and I am wondering if there is a way to
split connector. I looked up into 'connector splitting' But I didn't
see any changes in my model after applying them.

Precisely, I have 10 entities & all of them need to be connected with
another single box. presently, I am taking 10 connectors from Single
box and connecting to each of the 10 boxes. but I am wondering if
there is a way to take a single connector and then split it to reach
all 10 boxes.

Suggestions are welcome,

Please Advise,

Thanks

I don't believe so, at least, I've not successfully done that. The topic,
connector splitting is literal. If there are two shapes on a page with a
connector between them. Then another shape is added. If connector splitting
is enabled for this shape, placing the shape over the connector will split
it. Each of the previous two shapes will now be connected to the new shape,
but not to each other any more.

However, on the Connector stencil, there are some multiple tree buss
connector shapes you might want to check out. These should do what you want.
Just grab the yellow diamond control point to create however many
connections you want off the main branch.

That shape only has 6 output legs, for more legs just drop another
shape on top of the first.
