Connector Tool not showing in page

I'm using Visio 2007. I'm unable to view the connector tool. I tried to
connect two shapes but the lines are not showing up. I tried to copy the
lines from another shape and it would show but I could not drag or place it
to another location. It's just stuck where it pasted itself. I can't move the
copied lines at all. I'm trying to figure out what might I have done to get
this issue. It was working before.

Possibly a layers problem.
menu View -> Layer Properties
Check that the shapes are not on a locked/hidden layer.

The connector tool should be on the main toolbar right next to the text tool.
It can be toggled between Connector Tool and Connection Point Tool. If you
are in the Connection Point Tool mode a blue X icon should be displayed on
the toolbar. In addition at the very end of your pointer there should be an
X. To ensure you can see connection points make sure connection points are
set to view. On the toolbar select view, locate connection points and place a
check next to it. Once you have all these settings in place you should be
able to see a connection point of a shape if it has one. You should also be
able to move the connection point by holding down the control key on your
keyboard while selecting the connection point. This will allow you to move an
existing point. To add a new connection hold down the control key and left
mouse click after you have selected the object.
