Connects to Exchange, nothing happens

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

I've seemingly been able to get Entourage 2008 to connect to my company's Exchange 2003 server, but that's about as far as it gets. I assume it's connecting because there are no errors, and "(Not Connected)" disappears about 2 seconds after starting up Entourage.

Meaning: no email is downloaded, no public folders show up under that heading in Entourage, the progress pane is completely blank. Nothing. Left it running for 30 minutes, still nothing. Click send/receive. No errors, just nothing.

The only time I can get an error to appear is when attempting to send a new message. Then I get:

HTTP error. The resource is not found.

Error: -18596

So, I can't seem to track down what exactly this means.

I can login via OWA just fine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

As your OWA is working fine, use the same OWA URL in the exchange server
field in Entourage and see what happen.

Do you know if there is any kind of redirection set on your exchange server?

thanks,
Pawan

I'm not sure if this is the same issue but look at this recently posted
message from someone else on Exchange Server 2008 who was having
problems using Entourage. He had to correct some permissions on the server:

Hope this helps!
