consecutive list of numbers

I want to generate a consecutive list of numbers. Example: 14A-B.1, 14A-B.2
etc.
Is this possible in word or excel?

In Excel, enter 14A-B.1 in any cell, select it, and then drag the fill
handle (the small square in the lower right-hand corner) down, to to the
right.
