I am having the same problem as of yesterday. Two days before this was
happening with Outlook 2007. I finally got Outlook to work after
uninstalling and reinstalling Office the second time; however, this time,
WORD crashes.

I was so hopeful that your suggestion would work out, but I'm afraid it
didn't. I followed all the steps the article (and it's links) recommended.
Some of the suggestions applied to earlier versions of Office. Also, my
operating system is VISTA and some of the suggestions seemed to be for XP or
earlier. So far I've not found any suggestions elsewhere that have worked. f

Your problem is probably caused by an add-in that is looking for the wrong
version of wwlib.dll

Or sometimes, it can be overcome by deleting the Word Registry Key

Run Regedit and navigate to the key: with DATA selected, press
delete. Word will recreate a new key when it is restarted.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\version number\Word\Data

To run Regedit in Vista, type Regedit in the Search facility of the Vista
Start menu and the search will bring up Regedit.exe. Click on that to
access the Registry Editor.

Finally!!! I removed two addins - Scansoft PDF Creator and PDF Converter. I
finally had to uinstall the software, however, to get it removed from WORD.
And then I had to manually remove the PDF Creator tabs in the "Add-In"
section of WORD before they were completely removed. Then fnially I removed
the Data key per your instructions. So far, the test I did worked, and I
hope it keeps working. Thanks very much for your help.

So far so good, the regedit does fix the problem, I was able o fix greater
than 10 machines by running a script to remove the Data entry. All is good,
Thanks all for not giving up.
