You'll have to provide more information, such as the Outlook version and the
symptoms. What else did you change?

Thanks Sue,

I upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2002 to Office 2003 all seemed OK. I
then ripped out my motherboard and put in a new one with a new cpu
reinstalling office 2002. (I prefer it I think, though the jury is still
out). Outlook runs but there are no email folders and my contacts are all
empty. No error message just nothing there. The email might be explained
by the fact that I have not set up POP3 etc , but my old emails should still
be around. Since my last post I ran a search on *.pst and found some
files....they come up as Office data files and are named things like Outlook
or archive....but when I try to open them as an Outlook data file they do
not appear in the open window so I guess they are not recognised. Using
Outlook to open them from the search pane just results in them being
attached to an email.

Aargh! Any help much appreciated.

Thanks,

Danny

You can only open a .pst file with the File | Open | Outlook Data File
command in Outlook or by using the File | Data Management command or by
using Tools | E-mail accounts to add a new data file.
