Contacts created in Entourage not syncing with Exchange

If I create a new contact in Entourage, I get the following error when
syncing with our Exchange 2007 server:
Could not synchronize record: "contact name" to Exchange server:
"server name". Error: -18500.

If I create in Outlook or OWA, it syncs fine with the server and with
Entourage. Any suggestions?

Version 12.1.9 (090515)
Mac OS Version 10.5.7
Have NOT installed 12.2 update
Main Identity is approx. 11GB

Anything special about these contacts??
Any accented character for instance??

Is the OWA server perfectly up to date??

Nothing special about them. When I enter them the exact same way in
OWA or Outlook, they sync fine. Not sure what you mean by OWA server
perfectly up to date. Since I'm using Exchange, I'm not familiar with
why OWA is relevant. I'm just referencing it because that is an easy
way for me to test when I'm not on my Windows PC that has Outlook
loaded. Thanks for your reply and in advance for any guidance.

OWA is the web access page for the Exchange server. That's what

patches and rollups hasn't been applied to the server.

You can ask your Exchange admin to cehck since several patches corrected
fairly nasty issues for Entourage users.

Thanks Corentin. I guess I'm surprised that could be an issue when I
don't have any problems creating a new contact in OWA and it showing
up Entourage after a sync with exchange. Just can't create a new
contact in Entourage and have it do the same.

Not sure I'll get a lot of support time from our IT staff given what I
have just explained. Thanks anyway.
