Is there a known bug in outlook whereby if you add a contact with some
text to describe your relationship with a contact in the "Contact"
dialog box, that these notes disappear?
I mean I enter the notes that I have about a contact there and then
when I reopen the contact the notes I just entered are gone.
I am adding the plain text notes to the large white text box below the
picture icon in the contact dialog box that appears when you double click on
a contact.
More importantly, if I open an existing contact and it has notes stored
and I edit them by adding even a single character to this large white box,
then close and reopen the contact, all the notes are gone. :-(
If I update other fields like the address field, these stick just fine.
I tried a program called SCANPST.EXE to check for an repair errors in
my Outlook.pst file but this did not resolve the problem in outlook
2003, SP2.
I also tried rebooting to no effect.
I will try just about anything to resolve this since my notes about the
relationshp with the contact are critical. Please send me yourideas.
thank you
