I have a strange problem with workstation security.
Users cannot go to the properties of their Contacts folder, or any other
folder containing contacts, and select the "show this folder as an email
address book" option from the Outlook Address Book tab.
This problem is confined to the one machine, that machine happens to be the
company Terminal Server, on which every body runs. Other workstation outlook
session do not have the problem.
It seems to be a security issue on the workstation (terminal server), I have
created new users and they do not share the problem. It is restricted to
users that existed when the terminal server was installed and locked down.
When I do create new users I do my best to lock them down the same as our
existing users, I normally copy an existing user account when creating the
user ID but still they do not have the problem.
