Are company have multiple contact folders in the public folder location.

Such as Privat, Customers, Others

All users have rights to read these contacts and have add theme in the
address book.

1 users have the following search options in the address book.

First addresbook: Private

Second addressbook: Customers

Third addressbook: Others

When he writes a mail and fills in a name like eric in TO:

And click the icon check names.

He only find the name eric in the address book private, but there is also a
eric in the address book customers.

When I remove the user eric from private. And I repeat this step, he will
find the other eric in the address book

Customers.

My conclusion is when he find a name eric in the first address book he stop
searching.

Is there a way that outlook search in all address books.

No. For performance reasons, Outlook searches one address list at a time and
stops with that list if it finds a match.

Hi Sue.
Thanks for your reply.

But can I make from those 3 contact lists 1 large adresbook..

I don't want to copy all the adresses because I want to seperate my private
adress book, customers and others.

So maby make a link between those 3 contact list so that Outlook will see
those three as one contact list ( addressbook )

Kind Regards,

Jorn Wittendorp

You can't have it both ways -- you either have one list or three. If they're
all personal contacts folders, you might consider using categories to
distinguish the individual types of items and putting them all in your
default Contacts folder.

We are on Groupwise. Our clients are going to hate not having the autocomple
automatically work for them dumb to click on Check names for get it to fill
in. Not looking forward to this migration
