Contacts starting with 'The' are listed in address book by second

I want some of my contacts to be listed as starting with 'The'. Although I
have changed the file as box to read as starting with 'The' and it is listed
in Contacts with the T's when I am in Word and want to find the contact
through the 'envelopes and labels' window address book it is listed starting
with the second word in the name.

Assuming you mean the Outlook Address Book, not the "windows address book,"
what sort order did you specify for it? If you don't know, look and see. If
you don't know how to do that, then you must at least post your Outlook/Word
version so someone can answer you.
