Continuing an article

If using narrow columns and wanting to put a 'continued'
after a few inches of text, do both the original text and
the continued text have to be seperate HTM files? Or is
there a better way?

thanx rj

No, you don't need separate files (unless I misunderstand your question) You
can have your short paragraph, then the word "Continued" which would then
link to a separate file if that is your intention.

Would this be for a "news" page, with a summary of the article that links to
the full article?

Please explain further about exactly you want to do....

Yes, that is exactly it. A narrow column of news, a title
that is a hyperlink to the full title, a couple inches of
text and then a "MORE..." at the bottom which continues or I
suppose, goes to the full article.

How are you displaying the first part of the article on the page?

I would like to display a narrow column (cell) with a title
and an inch or two of text, followed by a "more..." that
presents the entire text.
Like the online newspapers do.
So I imagine that if I want to link the title to the full
text, it would be the same 'link' as the "more..."?
I really dont have these as .htm files yet. They are now
written into the index file as one wide long series of
articles. Which makes it easy to update.

If you are not using a DataBase then just type your heading, and 1st few link and the word "more" to hyperlink then create a link to
the page for the whole article
