Continuous Page Numbering in Portrait and Landscape Layouts

How do I make page numbering continuous in a document that has both portrait and landscape layouts? Currently, my document's numbering restarts to page 1 when I switch layouts.

On the Headers and Footers toolbar, click on the Page Number format button
and set the page number to continue from the previous section.

A document with both portrait and landscape layouts contain
multiple Word sections (since page orientation is a section
property). You need to go to each section and specify that page
numbering should continue from the previous section. Go to each
section and select Insert > Page Numbers. Click the Format
button, make sure that "Continue from previous section" is
selected, click OK, and then click Close.
