Control handle for moving text does not appear

I am unable to move the textbox that shows in a connector. The control
handles do not appear nor does the text rotation tool. Is there something
in my settings that does not allow me to do this? Am I using the incorrect
connectors (I am using the dynamic connector that shows within the shapes
box)?

The standard connector doesn't have this.
However, a very quick answer is to find a shape that does, in the
shape's shapesheet look at the Controls section and copy the row for
the move text control, then look at how that control is used in teh
shape's Text Transform section.
Hardly anybody else seems to be around helping these days, so I'll try
to get back to you tomorrow with a better answer.
