Controling GIF files???

I have created a GIF file in FlashMX that plays fine in all programs except
PowerPoint 2003. It is designed to play only once, but PP insists on looping
it? Other GIF files sometimes will not play at all??

I have plenty of process speed/RAM/HD, etc. Is there something inherently
wrong with PP, or am I overlooking something? Any help would certainly be
appreciated.
