Controller Dimension tool will not work in Visio 2007

I just upgraded to Visio 2007 and the controller dimension tool will not work
on new drawings. I can open a drawing imported from somewhere alse and the
tool works fine. I can drag it to the drawing and type in a new number but
the bar does not change length even though the number does. HELP!

I guess I need some clarification on the issue. We are talking about the
shapes in Visio 2007 with the name “Controller dimension� If this is the
case the shape is used to measure and display the dimensions of a shape. This
shape has connectors which can be attached to shapes and should adjust when
you change the shape which it has been attached to. If you want to change the
length and width of a shape already on the page you should use “Size and
Positions Viewâ€. If the shape is not protected you can edit certain
attributes of the shape by entering a value such as width and height.
