Conversion not working

Very frustrated now after many attempts at converting my trial version of
Office 2007.

Whenever I open an Office product I get the conversion pop up but when I
press the "Convert" radio button, nothing happens. So...

I went to the activation icon placed on my desktop and request a key,
followed the rest of the directions....nada. It looks like its processing
then nothing else happened.

I was finally able to order a product key through digital river but have yet
to receive an activation key. All I received was another product key which
will install the trial version AGAIN!

I've spent $375 and I have a product I cannot use...please help.

Thanks

Thanks for responding.

I've followed all the directions on the page you pointed me to, however,
when I click "convert" on the activation pop up that appears when I open an
Office 2007 application, nothing happens!

I used the Activation Wizard that is installed on the desktop when the
product was installed and I thought I purchased an activation key but I was
sent a key via email that installs another trial version of the product!

When I've responded that I can't activate the product I receive an email
telling me to take the steps that I've just taken without success; the same
steps you pointed me to.

It happens if your systems doen't meet the requirements or due to some
corrupted file in Office truial edition. If you have full installation media,
try reinstalling the software.

Thanks for the response.

I don't have the full installation CD, MS Office 2007 came installed on the
laptop.

Not sure if this is related but since I first got the machine and fired up
Outlook I got a popup prompting me to install the Business Contacts Manager.
I don't really need that but I finally clicked "install" hoping at least to
get rid of that popup. That app won't install, the only message I get is that
I get a popup that tells me BCM didn't install.

Hi,

I was wondering if you are still strugling with this problem or that you
found a solution. I have the same problem. I downloaded the trial verion and
in the mean time, I got the full version. The thing is, just like you I
cannot fill out the key, because when I click on Convert, nothing happens.

No, no solution at all. I'm really stuck on this. I haven't had a whole lot
of time to work on it either and have been borrowing someone elses laptop but
that arrangement goes away soon. I have paid for something, I didn't receive
it and there is nobody who can help me...the cost of doing business in the
digital age, it sucks.

I have been playing around to solve this problem this weekend and what worked
for me was to run the setup program and choose "repair". After rebooting, I
reran the setup program and chose "convert". This worked like a charm. Hope
it helps.
