Conversion of Access 97/98 to Access 2000

Can the Access 97/98 data base be converted to 2000?

I understand there are many things that must be done.
Please advise and point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Yes they can be converted. I have not run into any issues when I did this.

I suggest you ensure that the 97 version is compiled and compacted. Back it
up, and open it in 2000, choose to convert when prompted. Once it's done
I'd suggest you compile and compact it.

If the 97 mdb is secured, you can use the 97 mdw in 2000, although I'd
unsecure it in 97, convert and then re-secure.

You may want to create a new 2000 mdb and import everything from the
converted 2000 mdb.

Here's a web site with some issues you may come across.

Yes in the Tools/Database Utilities/Convert Database Menu in Office 2000 you
can convert from 97 and Office 2000 also ask you when opens a database in 97
format.

And a comment. As I know there isn't any Access 98 version.

Good Luck
