Convert date to text?

I have a cell with the date 2003/10/15 in it which of course excel i
storing as a value (37909). What function can I use to pull the dat
into another cell as text that will read exactly as it is displaye
i.e. "2003/10/15"? Thank

Hi!

Try this:

With the true Excel date, 2003/10/15, in A1:

=TEXT(A1,"yyyy/mm/dd")

Note that this is now a true TEXT string and is not an
underlying numeric value just formatted as a date.
