Hi,

My name is Amy Vargo. Thank you for using the Microsoft Access Newsgroups.

Is this a dBASE file? If so, you can import, export, or link to dBASE
files in Access. For more information, please see the article below.

Thanks for the response. Yes, it is a dBASE file. I
stalled Jet4.0 SP8 and when I tried to link and import the
file I got the following error message:

The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the the
object '<filename>.dbf'. Make sure the object exists and
that you spell its name and the path correctly.

It gives me this message even though I browse directly to
the file. Any susggestions?

Hi,

My name is Amy Vargo. Thank you for using the Microsoft Access Newsgroups.

How was this file saved? Is it a true .dbf Paradox file? Is there any way
you can save the file as another file type that you can import into Access,
such as a Text file? If so, try saving the file as a Text file, and import
the Text file into your Access database.

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please
respond back to this posting.
