Convert or Write string variable to xml doc

Hello there,

I have put together a string variable that I am trying to POST via
XMLHTTP to an SMS server. I understand I must get this string to an
xml document so that I can use the POST method of the XMLHTTP object.

Does anyone know an easy way to convert this string variable to the
xml document or to write to that file. If so can they actually give
code examples?
