Convert *.pps to *.pptx ?

Is there any way to convert power point Show file to power point
presentation file?

I am using Power Point 2007.

Rename the .pps file to .ppt file. It can open in PowerPoint 2007. If you
then wish to save as .pptx, you can do that with PowerPoint 2007.

Open PowerPoint first and use the Open option from the Office Button to open
the pps file and then you can save it as you'd like...
