convert .ps to .pdf / FREEWARE ?

Could anyone recommend a FREEWARE program I could use to
make a print quality conversion of my MSPUB2002/XP files to
..pdf for my printer. My printer uses Macintosh, and has
had difficulty with the Pack and Go files I have provided.
The print jobs are all one color. As I understand it, I
may have to save the document first as a .ps, then convert
it to the .pdf ??

Maybe I'm confused.......why would you use Pack and Go if you are printing
it yourself? I do two newsletters. One of them I turn into a .pdf with
Acrobat, copy that file to a disk and take it to the print shop for copies.
The other one I print using best quality and take that to have copies made.
Obviously I have a larger budget for the first newsletter than the second.

I have never used them, but you could try it out on your
printer.

The other option get on ebay and see if you can find a
older version of acrobat distiller.

Yet anouther option is to load the publisher printer or
any postscript printer on your system, and create your
file with that printer as your part of your page setup.
Then print it to a .ps file. Then give that to your
printer and have them shoot you back a pdf to proof.
Ask your printer if they have a ftp site set up, This
would make it easier for you.
