convert text to double-byte

I cannot find a function that will allow me to convert to
double-byte decimal within a query. Please let me know if
there is a function th=o do this.

Perhaps I've led a sheltered life, but this is the first time I've ever
encountered the term "double-byte decimal". If it means what I think it
does, StrConv() with the vbWide or vbUnicode constant should do the job.
Otherwise, please post back with more details.
