im try to convert a TIFF file to any other format so that i can edit
it, is there any applications out there that can do that conversion
that i need?

Basically, you will need to convert the TIFF into an editable format (JPG,
BMP, etc.) and then use PhotoShop or some other software.

Word would be my last choice for handling TIFF's.

By the way, what has your question got to do with VBA programming in Word?
