Convert TIFF to PDF using access table as reference

Hi

I would like to know if there is some way that I can convert TIFF images
into JPG images using an access database table as the reference to determine
whether the TIFF needs to be converted to JPG or not.

To give a bit of back ground on what I want to do... I have a folder full of
TIFF images and what I would like it to do is go through an table in an
access database and within the table it has the file names however it shows
it ending in tiff or jpg depending on which one the image should be. ie
001.tiff, 002.tiff, 003.jpg, 004.tiff, 005.jpg etc.

This table is the only way to determine which image should remain as tif and
which one needs to convert to jpg.

I understand that acrobate can convert the images however to do that I must
select each image which takes a long time when we are talking about 100's, I
am really hoping to build something which will cut the time in half.

I already have the code to compare the files and the database I just dont
know how to convert the tiff imag to jpg.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Your title says PDF and your message says jpg or not?!

One method, depending on your needs, would be to create a simple report
where you insert an image per page and then simply print as a PDF. To
convert to PDF take a look at

If you are comfortable with a bit of coding then there are several Freeware
Image Utility Libraries out there that can be called from Visual Basic. A
quick search, (two I have looked at in the past) yielded:
