Convert Time to a Text

Hi,

I need help with a formula. I'm trying to convert a time to text as in the
example below.

Example:
A1= 5:16 PM
B1= 1716

=TEXT(A1,"hhmm")

One approach:

=TEXT(HOUR(A1,"00") & TEXT(MINUTE(A1),"00")
