Convert User Input into Column Heading

Hello All:

I have a spreadsheet that allow users to type in descriptiv
information about a product in a column. This information is no
unique. I need to get the unique items from the list and use them a
column headings. Pivot tables have been suggested, but this is not th
best solution as I am creating a report that needs the input as
column heading.

For Example:

Candy
Donut
Candy
Ice Cream
Soad
Soda
Ice Cream

Candy, Donut, Ice Cream, Soad, Soda

Hi!

You can extract the unique names to a distant column using Data
Filter > Advanced Filter
You can then return this list as column headings elsewhere using Cop

Paste Special and check Transpose.
