converter mswrd632.wpc won't start

I have been running Office 2007 Professional Suite. The Word program has thus
far worked without incident, but suddenly, out of the blue, it won't open
files with .doc extensions, and a box announces that "word cannot start the
converter mswrd632.wpc. Don't know how or where to find this file. Help is
uninformative.

Ran the Office diagnostics program, which found no problems. Having lots
and lots of problems with Outlook 2007, but this is the first issue with any
of the other programs.

hi SJK,

As indicated in other posts in this NG, these errors occur after installing the KB973904 security update. Apparently, uninstalling
that update will fix the problem.
