converting 11x17 poster (4 pgs in publisher) to pdf as one page

Need to convert to pdf an 11x17 poster but it converts as 4 pages (my printer
does not accommodate that size paper). Is that my problem?

You don't have to be able to literally print an 11 x 17 file to convert one
to a .pdf file. Check all of your printer settings.

If your physical printer does not accommodate 11 x17, you need to setup Acrobat
or whatever PDF converter you are using first. Create a 11 x 17 size in the
printer, your Publisher document should reflect this size in page setup and
print preview.

What version Publisher? If you are using 2007, you may have to setup the printer
twice. When you are finished creating, File, Print, setup again on this screen.
There is a print preview here as well.

File > Publish as PDF or XPS > Change... > Print Options > Paper Size =
Ledger/Tabloid.
