Converting 2002 file to 2003

OPTIadmin

We have had a problem where users have opened a Visio 2002 file with Visio
2003 and have been prompted to CONVERT the file to a 2003 file.
Two things happen.
A. If they answer yes, the formatting is virtually gone and the document is
a jumbled mess. It is faster to recreate the document from scratch.
or
B. If they answer no, bizarre things happen to the document. All these files
are Org Charts. Names that should only be in 1 box, appear in every second
box thoughout the whole sheet. Connector lines will not connect between
objects and other behavior like that.

We have the latest service packs running on both versions and have tried
re-installing. This makes no difference.
Has anyone heard of this before and if so what did you do to resolve it?

Thanks!

the org chart code is an add-in application that is different between the
two versions of visio. short answer - don't do it.
