Converting a 2003 database to 2007 format

I have a 2003 format database which is split into front end and back end. I
want to save it as a 2007 format. With only the Navigation pane open I tried
Save As and chose 2007 format but keep getting a message that says I
attempted to open a database that I have already opened and I should try
again when the databse is avaiable. So, how do I convert my 2003 format
database to 2007 format if I can't open it?
Thanks
Tony

The big question is why? Are you going to be using some functionality that's
only available in Access 2007? If not, just leave it in A03 format. If it
ain't broke, don't fix it!

Hi Jerry would we loose any of the 2007 functionality if we left it in A03?

For example, we may want to use this database on Share[point which has to be
2007 format doesn't it?

2003 can work with Sharepoint.
