converting a document from Notepad to Word

I have Office 2000. I have a document saved in Notepad. When I open it with
Word, I have invisible paragraph formatting which I am unable to change. Is
there any way to reformat the whole document without having to go paragraph
by paragraph?

I'm confused because Notepad has no formatting. What kind of changes are you
trying to make?

The original document must have been created in Word and then saved as a
Notepad file. I converted it back to Word for editing and printing. (I need a
printed copy of the document in Word). However, what must have been the
original formatting, seems to be lost. Is there any way to recover the
formatting of the document before it was converted to Notepad? It is a 70
page document with different formatting in various pages. By having no access
to the original Word document, does it mean that I have to go back and
reformat page by page?
Thank you for trying to help me with this.

Autoformat will do the whole document. It won't be perfect, but it will
give you a headstart.

Once the Word document was saved as Notepad, it stripped out formatting.
Check out the Format Painter to help you in your task. And you might want to
get started - time's awastin'. ;-)
