Converting Access 97 database to access 2000 format

My company is conveting to access 2003 application. Microsoft has indicated
that we can enable access 97 databases to work with Access 2003 application.
My question is if I I enable the access 97 database and add records will it
prevent me in the future from converting my Access 97 database to access 2000
format?

By default Access 2002 and 2003 still use the 2000 file format so I don't think
you will have any problems.
