Converting clipart

Does Microsoft have a utility to convert all old format clipart in my
collection to the new format? I want to migrate but the thought of starting
again to build my collection is off-putting.

Are you going from the Gallery to the Organizer? You can use the Gallery in Office
2002-03 as a standalone or as an add-in. After you install the newer version of
Office, insert your older Office disk and simply re-install the Gallery. In Word,
insert, object, scroll down to Microsoft Clip Gallery. You can drag the CAG icon to
the desktop and create a shortcut, you will not be able to insert from it but you can
drag and drop. The CAG.exe is in a folder similar to this:
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Artgalry\

Thanks Mary,

This is actually what I do now. However I feel that eventually I will have
to switch over to the newer format. I guess that might be a few years away!

Some of the new clip art is not compatable with the old Gallery and the new
clip art sometimes has better transparency while using less memory.
