Converting Enterprise Trial to Full Version

I will soon be acquiring Office 2007 Enterprise from my organization. If I
download and install the Enterprise 2007 trial version, will I be able to
convert it to the full version later using the product key, or do I have to
completely uninstall then reinstall from the cd?

If it works anything like the Office 2007 Professional Trial you can
activate it using a new product key.

I just installed the Office trial on a new system I built for a friend
because her old computer with Windows 2000 died. The idea was that it
would give her 60 days before she needs to shell out more money. I was
helping her set it up yesterday and soon discovered that the feature
she needs most, to import the old outlook.pst file, is disabled. Its
okay, she knows a relative that knows an MS Certified Techie that may
be able to GIVE her a key. :-(

I think the trial should be full featured or why call it a trial? I
won't be installing them anymore on any system I build.

Questions about how licensing, for Enterprise (or any) software packages,
apply to _your_ organization should be asked of _your_ Systems
Administrator.

I appreciate both of your responses however I don't think either of you
understood what I am asking. As you may know, if I download the office 2007
professional trial, I can buy the full version from Wal-Mart and just convert
the trial to the paid version without ever having to insert the CD I just
bought. Well what I am wondering is if I install the downloaded enterprise
trial version, will I be able to convert it to the full version later on
without having to uninstall the trial first?

You are the one who does not understand:
Office "Enterprise" has an entirely different licensing schema than does
Office "Professional".
As I have already told you -- for questions about the Office Enterprise
licensing schema applicable to _your_ organization, ask _your_ Systems
Administrator.

Office knows the difference between the Enterprise version and a retail
version of Pro. Trial version are the pits when you try to convert to a full
version. Always dump the trial first.

Hi Tester,

The Office 2007 Enterprise trial edition is a special 'retail' version of the volume license one. You'll need to remove it, restart
the PC then install the Volume License (including Home Use Rights license from your company) version when you get the CD.

Your data files should be usable still after that, but it doesn't hurt to backup anytime you're about to update the computer.
